So I've had to remake the thread on request of my ringleader, because we've picked a new placeholder name, Cirque Nocturne. (Night Circus. Deep, no?)
As of now, I'm trying to learn juggling and as much sleight of hand as I can manage. In the future I hope to learn sword swallowing, fire eating, fire breathing and fire dancing.
Is there anything else my fellow crew members can suggest? And let me state in the beginning that I will not attempt aerial dancing. I do not have that kind of flexibility in me, and every time I watch I think "ow ow ow"

Ever tried stilt walking? It's not as hard as you'd expect. Once you get the knack of it, that is. My first experience with stilts was dreadful, probably because I found it a bit scary. Second go, I had it within about 15 minutes.

Would be awesome if you were a sword swallower, not many of those left around.

I have to learn sword swallowing. If only for the innuendo

Oh my.
How have I never noticed the innuendo?

That is a good question.

Sword swallowing is painful and awkward from what I've been told from one of the only performers I know in town here. And that's even from just doing it with practice materials...not actual swords.
@charming Pyrate: Juggling is something you eventually learn over time. Just pick up balls and practice. It takes 2 minutes to learn one. about 15-20 to learn 2. And then months to learn 3. And so on and so forth. I'm currently still learning 3. it's all muscle memory. Just curious what circus skills do you practice at the moment? <3

I'm practicing juggling, sword swallowing, and taking simple voice lessons.

I'd suggest Poi (aka fire spinning) you can do it with fire, but I've also performed with ribbon and glowsticks
Poi is origionally a Maori tradition, but has made it's way over borders in the last few decades
In esscence, it is two balls, or weights, attached ot the end of strings or chains, and then spun in ornate patterns
It's very easy to find lessons, tutorials, etc. online I personally learned from domorepoi.com You can teach yourself, and all you need ot make your first set is a pair of tights and two tennis balls
