sorry slightly obsessed at the moment. I have soul-silver and have spent around 30 hours on it and am over half way through. I also love the CCG as well. I know I'm really sad for a 21 year old. but I admit I'm a geek. Who else love Pokemon?

I haven't gotten Heart Gold or Soul Silver yet, but I'm still a Pokedork even after all these years.
What's your current team?

How is that Pokewalker thing? I've seen it but not used it.
My main team in Diamond right now is Luxray, Dragonite, Lucario, Vaporeon, Umbreon and I'm pretty sure an Infernape.

Ah Pokemon. HeartGold is currently bringing back so many 8 year old memories of the 260 hours I poured into the original At the moment I'm struggling to level up my team so I can get the 8th Johto badge...which I think is Blackthorn but I'm never sure about city names. (goddamn bloody dragons...). I think I'm about 29 hours in. My team at the moment is Growlithe, Polywhirl, Meganium, Pigeot, Nidoqueen and Butterfree. I'm just trying to find someone I can trade my Polywhirl to who will give me the Polywrath straight back, and a fire stone... Oh, does anybody know where Bill's gradfather is? Or Bill himself? I'm told that one of them gives you a fire stone, but they're not in Goldenrod City anymore.

I think now they're in Kanto.
I loved Gold and Silver. I think, personally, it was the best Pokemon game they came out with.

What does HG & SS have to offer in terms of gameplay?

I went and bought SoulSilver yesterday 'cause of this thread. I've currently got a geodude in my Pokewalker. I call him 'Lumps'.

What does HG & SS have to offer in terms of gameplay? The basic mechanics are the same as they've always been since the beginning, but it plays more like Diamond/Pearl/Platinum with some extra features that didn't appear in those games. PC boxes can now be controled by touchscreen, the start menu iis now always on the touchscreen, and you can register 2 key items, again using the TS. You can also hit a button on the TS which enables you to run without holding down B. The design of the game and everything is basically exactly the same as the original Gold/Silver but with much better graphics and a greater use of 3D-like the Pokemon centres, which now have 2 levels, instead of having to climb stairs to go to the link room upstairs. I haven't tried the link/wi-fi stuff yet though, so I've no idea how they run, but HG/SS are damn good remakes. I'd say they're definately worth it! Oh, does everybody know about Yellow Forest for the Pokewalker? It's a downloadable route which contains solely Pikachu, but some of them know moves which they normally wouldn't-like Surf. To get it, go the main menu (the one just after the title screen) and select Mystery Gift. Then go Recieve Gift>>Get from Wi-Fi, and if there's a wi-fi point registered on your DS, it'll download Yellow Forest, which you then collect from a deliiveryman.

I took my pokewalker to the Angelspit gig. I think I gathered about 3000 steps from it. And leveled up my ratty rat.

XD I've been seeing SO many people in my school with the Pokewalkers. I just thought of how awesome it would be if I was to take one hiking with me some day. 10 miles of steps? I better have gotten a Dragonite by then!

I've been playing Diamond, because I'm poor and can't afford the new one. I've also been playing a fan designed game called Pokemon Twilight, which is in beta, and has almost 150 completely new pokemon.
