Right now mine is the System of a Down Discography. And it seems to be helping (along with the lavender oil burner)
I wanna hear some other Pyrate's angry music, and if you think it's be more effective (and if so, where might I get it??).

I actually feel bad for ignoring SOAD, as they were popular I ignored them, but now... now I'm realizing what a smart band they are... Also they played an Iceman for a while, and I love that guitar! As far as ragetastic hate fuel music... American Head Charge and Primer 55 are pretty brilliant. www.youtube.com/watch?v=P1YJ6tkTIoowww.youtube.com/watch?v=-ruHfeq87qoAHC is like... really Melodic Nu-Metal-core Primer 55 is jazzy/bluesy sware filled Rap/nu-metal I'm not sure wether to Mosh or breakdance to it...

Avenged sevenfold... "Thumper, what did your father tell you?" ... If you want adorably cute metalcore like A.S. Dead By April may be up your alley. www.youtube.com/watch?v=7AQknSzA1AU

Honestly I'm a Poppy Music/metal Whore. I love the stuff...
it makes up... A LOT of my stuff!
Its just, as far as Pissed/Angry music goes... in terms of the actual MUSIC part of it. there are certain things that Pop Metal just... falls short on.
the colorful, warm jazzy riffs. the E-Standardish Poppy tuning. Upbeat bright drumming.
I mean. I love all those things. but pissed/angry they are not.
Add to that Lyrics that clearly state that the only thing killed are his fears and that he doesn't need this person to like him. lyrics partially sung in a style more suited to a really good boy band. and you have a great song. with a great message. but in terms of music that defines rage. there are many other songs more Apt to the task.
In my opinion, just a few things that make music really ragetastic are... overly Distorted/flanged, usually discordant notes/Chords with a tad too much gain (though an Excess of gain IS usually present in AS) Non-standard D,C,B and some times A tuning. also usually Diminished in some way excessive Basslines. Bassy Drumming, usually using an somewhat altered time signature to add an air of uneasiness to the song When screaming or Growling, the vocalist tends to do so from the diaphragm. instead of the back of the mouth (as in a lot of what AS or DBA does)
and lastly. the lyrics often have an over the top, vicious and hopefully cathartic message of hatred and/or disgust (as that Limp Bizket song illustrates QUITE WELL!) i.e. "I HOPE YOU KNOW I PACK A CHAINSAW, I'LL SKIN YOUR ASS RAW. AND IF MY DAY KEEPS GOING THIS WAY I MIGHT BREAK YOUR FUCKING FACE TONIGHT" or, to quote the reanimator mix of My Disease by Slipknot "AND IF YOU TOUCH ME I WILL TEAR YOU APART, REACH DEEP DOWN INSIDE AND TAKE A BITE OUT OF THAT BITCH YOU CALL A HEART,I KNOW WHY YOU HATE ME."
Now honestly. I like Avenged more than either of those bands. these bands are talking about how poorly they are dealing with something, AS usually talks about how they've dealt with it. you have a greater potential to be happy listening to the catchy, chunky damn near HEALTHY music that they play.
And thats really the only reason I feel they don't fit the Pissed/Angry description.
because when you feel pissed/angry, you feel miserable.
but when you're aggressively victorious (as I feel a lot of AS sounds) you should be feeling pretty damn good!

I used to listen to Lordi, Disturbed, Slayer, Megadeth, and bands of the like when i was pissed... but nowadays it takes a lot to make me upset - so i wouldn't be able to tell you.

"Hate Everyone" by Say Anything. The music itself doesn't really sound pissed--it has that catchy pop/punk sound--but lyrically, it sums up the way I feel during a really shitty day. I love it. =)

Depends on what way I'm pissed. For example "Use your fist" by Marylin Manson is my "I-hate-work-and-don't-want-to-deal-with-f'ing-customers-in-a-polite-way-cause-half-of-them-are-jerks" song. Where as some of EA's stuff is good when you're pissed at relationship stuff, and stupid people...Die Motherfucker Die by Dope is fun, as is a lot of their stuff, but again you come back to the pop-metal problem, where it's not so much horrendously pissed as angry aggressive and kinda victorious. I tend to like really chaotic stuff too when I'm pissed like 'Antonin Artaud' by Bauhaus, something that just feels as crazy as I do. Dunno if that actually made any sense...
